A good turn-out of Club Members competed for this trophy, dedicated to to the memory of Ian Cowley, a Past President, in honour of his long service and commitment to the Club. The Cup was donated by Ian's family and has been played for over the last 5 years as part of the Club's regular programme.
The format this year was Drawn 3 Bowl Triples over three games of 9 Ends. Despite the forecast the weather was kind and we all enjoyed a very enjoyable tournament, played with some skill and considerable humour. The Runners Up were Eileen Ponting and Ray Anderson skipped by Karl Glenn who were just pipped by Jean Everett and Garry Glenn skipped by Richard Ponting.
All well organised by President Barry who compiled the teams (without fear or favour) and produced a close-run result. Altogether an excellent day.
