Despite the closing in of daylight hours in April, the Ian Sharkey Memorial Tournament was played under clear starlight skies on Tuesday 26th April. We were further blessed by the cessation of the cool south-wester that had been blowing all day resulting in beautiful mild evening. Ian Sharkey was a well respected Founder Member of the Club who passed away in 2014 after a long illness. He is remembered for his hard work in the early days of the Club's history and a dry sense of humour. His wife Kathy and son Ken presented the Club with Ian's Memorial Trophy which is contested each season. This year we played under Drawn Pairs format and the Trophy was won by Anne Woulfe, one of our very new Friends, and Rick Markovina. Congratulations to you both.
