Winter Programme

Sadly the season is drawing to an end but the good news is that we will continue with our Tuesday Evening Club Nights through the winter, and subject to weather conditions we will be playing outdoors for as long as we can. Should we have inclement conditions, the evening will be held indoors with the eternal struggle being played out on the indoor bowls mat, and other forms of competition. A meal will be available each Club Night unless otherwise advised.

The Winter Programme will likely also include a quiz night, a visit to the full size indoor green at Pukekohoe with the Milford Club scheduled for Sat 16th July and possibly a Mid-Winter Dinner.

Sunnybrae Club is once again running their Wednesday all day tournaments on their all weather green, starting early June and continuing through to the end of August. Format is Triples Any Combination (mixed genders).

For Your Diaries:-

The End of Season Closing Day & Prize Giving is set down for Sat. 28th May. The timing to be confirmed, but is likely to be early afternoon following the game of the year, The Bone of Contention, starting 9.30 (ish). Opposing teams are sorted by a variety of criteria according to those who show up on the day. Very likely to be the Natives v. The Pakehas. No blood on the green please, it ruins the grass.

The AGM is Scheduled for the 25th June, where we be electing the President, Executive Committee and other Officers for the 2016/17 season. For newer members and Friends this will be an early afternoon meeting in Club House. A formal Notice of Meeting and Agenda will be circulated to all concerned by e-mail.

We look forward to seeing as many Members and Friends during the winter.

Regards, The Badger.
