To mark the occasion of Barry Milne's premature retirement from the Presidency of the Club, a long awaited Bell has been installed in the lounge.
Trying to make an announcement in a lounge full of Members is a bit like herding a bunch of noisy cats at times, a fact frequently commented on by Barry during his tenure. We have therefore had a suitable item made using an artillery shell case (which had lived under Barry's house for many years) turned into an appropriate instrument for the purpose of attracting attention to an imminent announcement.
Once again we thank Barry for his leadership as President and wish him all the best for the future.
