The Executive, with great sadness, accepted the resignation of Beach Haven stalwart Barry Milne from the Presidency of the Club this week on doctor's orders. Barry has been instrumental in seeing the Club through some difficult times and steps down from his tenure knowing we have made our best ever start to the season, not only with our successes on the greens, but also with a growing and enthusiastic membership. Barry intends to remain a member of the Club, and he will always be welcome at the Haven, as we are sure he will be elsewhere in the NHB area.
In true Beach Haven grit and style, VP Doug Laughlan has assumed the role of President for the remainder of the year and we all wish him success in his new role. Doug is pictured on his first day of duty braving the elements as only a true Glaswegian can to organise the Ian Cowley Memorial Cup on Sat 19th November.
