Following the Pairs Championships of last week, Saturday 23rd saw the Triples Championship played out in glorious, if a little breezy, weather on a green which is now really performing as a well-cared-for green should. Our thanks go to Brendon Kelly and Mo Pita for their efforts.
Due to a few members being unavailable for health or family reasons the Womens Section was a little depleted but the final games produced several lead changes and some very close results.
The Winners were Gloria Markovina & Eileen Ponting - Skipped by Sandra Hilson over Di Mitchell & Dorothy Nilson - Skipped by Nola Glenn. (Picture to be added)
The Mens competition was split into two sections which again featured some close games and excellent bowling. The watching gallery was greatly entertained by the skills on show in the Final and also the banter, which fortunately did not quite result in any blood being spilled - it's not good for the green.
The winning team of Dave Hunter & Garth Towler - Skipped by Jason Blackmore created a Club first with a three-peat win following their 2019 and 2020 successes, this time over the experienced team of Martin Hoani & Rick Markovina - Skipped by Ian Little.
Well done Gals & Guys, it was great effort!
